Training Program BirthMark

Training at BirthMark is a unique experience due to the wealth of knowledge combined with the real-life experience of the instructors. BirthMark's very concept was built upon a foundation and philosophy of support. Jackie Kelleher, its founder, has been supporting families as a lactation consultant and a birth and postpartum doula for 13 years in the Philadelphia area, with initial additional experience abroad. Jackie developed DONA International's Postpartum Doula Certification Program and served on the DONA Board of Directors in that capacity for seven years. She is one of only two mentors of DONA's postpartum doula certification program. She has been a DONA approved doula trainer for over ten years.

It is an exciting time to be a Doula. Women across the globe appreciate and value the experience of having a doula – a knowledgeable, experienced companion – who stays with them through labor, birth and beyond. Birth doulas offer emotional support, encouragement and wisdom throughout labor and birth. Postpartum doulas support women and families through the transformation that a new baby brings to a family.
