Class Age Appropriateness

At BirthMark, we try to help parents decide what classes may be best suited for their child by suggesting an age range. These ranges should be treated as a suggestion rather than a rule. As parents, you know your child's abilities and personality best. All babies and toddlers develop emotionally and physically at their own pace. Please use your best judgement, and when in doubt, come to the class to see if your child is able to enjoy the activities. BirthMark Class Policies

We want you to enjoy your time at BirthMark's classes, and we want those around you to enjoy their experience as well.  Please keep the following in mind for everyone’s safety and comfort:

• Please arrive with clean hands. As parents of young children, our BirthMark community want  to keep their children as healthy as possibly. Hand washing helps!
• Please remove your little one’s shoes to preserve the toes of those around you.
• Parents/Caregivers are responsible for their child(ren). While we know that parents are excited to enjoy other adult company, please consider this as an opportunity to enjoy special time together with your little one.
• We encourage (but don’t force) children to participate in structured activities. The best encouragement is your enthusiasm and participation; therefore, we ask that you please hold adult conversation during circle time.
• If your child puts a toy in his/her mouth, please put it in the “to be washed” basket and we will clean it.
• Please limit food and drink to sippy cups of water only.

Our annex is a "please take your diapers with you" location, as it is not exclusively ours.

Please note: If you or your child has vomited or had a fever within the past 24-hours, is sick or exhibiting symptoms of infection (diarrhea, rash or sore throat with fever, runny nose with thick green or yellow mucus & cough), please do not attend playgroup until s/he is well.  We will miss you, and will look for your quick return.

BirthMark Inclement Weather Policy

In case of inclement weather, please tune into your local radio or tv station for school district closures. If schools are closed in the Rose Tree Media district, classes and groups will be cancelled, and the store will be closed.
