Greetings!

It is with great sadness that I write this letter. After four years of serving our community, BirthMark faces closing its doors. It has been both an honor and a joy, watching parents grow into their roles and witnessing the addition of one, two and even three children over the years. Unfortunately, BirthMark has not been a financial success. While we have tried to hang on, we are unable to continue to do so.

Our hope--and plan--it to try a "soft closing". In this, we will phase out all overhead possible--pump rentals and all retail--and try to maintain some of the groups and classes, with an additional focus on lactation counseling, doula services, training and ongoing education at the location. It is our sincere hope that with these modifications, the heart of BirthMark can thrive.

We know that this will come as a surprise and disappointment to many. To help with this transition, please spread the word about our inventory sale, which will begin today. Liquidating our inventory will help to maintain support groups in the weeks to come.

Mostly, speaking from my own heart, I want to assure you that I will continue to serve our community as a doula and lactation counselor. I have great love for my BirthMark families, and this decision has been anything but easy. Thank you for your support.
